Basic pronouns
The basic personal pronouns are:
我 (wǒ) I
你 (nǐ) you
他/她/它 (tā) he,she,it
们 is added to the singular to form the equivalent plural pronoun.
我们 (wǒmen) we你们 (nǐ) you (plural)
他们/她们/它们 (tāmen) they
Third person pronouns (他/她/它,他们/她们/它们) are used less frequently in Chinese. In Chinese known subjects are often not expressed and since the third person pronoun refers to a known entity 他/她/它,他们/她们/它们 rarely appear in the subject position.
