麻烦 (máfan) trouble, bother.
This expression can be used to say that something is bothersome, e.g. 很麻烦 (hěn máfan) 'very annoying'.
It can also be used when making a polite request: 麻烦你 (máfan nǐ) 'sorry to trouble you' followed by the request.
