The date format in Chinese is year 年 (nián) followed by month 月 (yuè) and day of the month 号 (hào), that is from the larger unit to the smaller one. Years are spelled out as numerals, months are represented simply by the numbers one to twelve.
Example:
2001年十月十一号 (èrlínglíngyī nián shí yuè yī hào) 11th October 2001
The days of the weeks are formed by adding the numbers one to six after 星期 (xīngqī) or 周 (zhōu). Sunday is 星期日 (xīngqīrì)
