Nursing Information Sessions

The Nursing Information Session covers nursing program admissions requirements (courses and pre-admissions exam), application process, selection criteria, program cost and other additional information to assist students with preparing for application for the various nursing programs offered at Kapi'olani Community College.  Before meeting with a nursing program advisor, you should attend an in-person session or view the on-line session.

**SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT**

The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program at Kapi'olani Community College (KCC) will be realigned with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa via the Hawai‘i Statewide Nursing Consortium Curriculum in the Fall 2012. Therefore, certain links will be updated within the (online) nursing information session to reflect these program changes. As an advisory, please come to an (in-person) nursing information session at Kapi'olani Community College or Leeward Community College for the updated information or read the updates on the website. You are also welcome to meet with nursing advisor via walk-in advising on Tuesdays (at 9:00 am to 12:00 pm) and Wednesdays (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm) in the KCC Kopiko Building, Room 201. No appointment is needed for the (in person) nursing information session or walk-in advising.
 

In-Person Session

The Nursing Information Sessions offered in-person are scheduled at various times (at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.) throughout the month.  The in-person sessions will offer interested students an opportunity to learn more about the various nursing programs as well as meet with a nursing department counselor/advisor and ask questions about the various nursing programs.  The sessions are also offered at Leeward Community College and Windward Community College.  No appointment is necessary.  For a current schedule, please click into Nursing Information Session Schedule (PDF).
 

On-Line Session

The Nursing Information Sessions are also offered on-line and may be viewed in segments depending on topics of interest.  Students are encouraged to view and listen to all or specific topics of interest as referenced below, ultimately clicking to desired topic(s) of interest.

On-Line Session--Participant Evaluation Form

After completing the (on-line) Nursing Information Session, please complete the Session Evaluation Form, in order to assist the Nursing Department with improving the session content as well as understanding your own level of learning regarding the various nursing programs.

After completing the Participation Evaluation Form, please be sure to print out the last page confirming your completion of the evaluation form, ultimately bringing the "confirmation page" with you, if and when you meet with the Nursing Department counselor during walk-in advising on Tuesdays (at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) and/or Wednesdays (at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at the KCC Diamond Head campus.
