Honolulu Community College
Instructor:  Azadeh R. Nikou

In 2012 and for the first time in the history of the State, HCC and Ms. Nikou offered Persian-Farsi language/cultural courses.  Persian 101 & 102 are two halves of an elementary Persian-Farsi program designed to provide non-native speakers (and, native speakers who cannot yet read and write Farsi text) with the basic knowledge of Modern Persian.  In these classes, the focus is on developing proficiency in the standard written and spoken Persian-Farsi language.

University of Hawaii at Manoa, through the generosity of Roshan Institute, now also offers similar Persian-Farsi courses at its Manoa campus. These face-to-face classes are taught by Ms. Ladan Hamedani, PhD.
