Lessons

In order to access the lessons you need to purchase a Student Membership of The Indonesian Way.

Tests

Every Wednesday there is a short quiz (ujian) of about 15 minutes usually covering three lessons. You can take a test any time between 0:00 and 23:55 HST, but once you have started taking the test you have to finish it.

The 15 weekly quizzes count for 30%, and the final exam counts for another 30% of the total course grade. If you fail to take a quiz for whatever reason you cannot retake it. However, you can miss two quizzes without penalty, and you will get full points for the missed quizzes. Students who don’t miss a quiz get full scores for their two worst quizzes instead. To take a quiz, select "Ujian" from the Laulima menu.

Homework Assignments & Discussion Forum

Every Wednesday students have to submit their wekly homework called Pekerjaan Rumah (abbreviated as PR—pronounced pe–er). Homework Assignments and Discussion Forum assignments together make up 30% of the course grade. Please use the Assignment List below to check out the due dates of all assignments. The number 04–03 refers to Lesson 4 Exercise 3. Homework assignments have to be submitted by 23:59 every Wednesday. They have to be submitted online through the Laulima assignment tool accessible by clicking on PR in the Laulima menu.

The Discussion Forums (Forum Diskusi) is an open forum where students not only have to post contributions to a number of given topics but are also requested to respond to contributions of their classmates. The discussion forum is always open and you should start writing your contribution as soon as possible. DON'T wait until Wednesday!!! Wednesday is the last day to submit anything, but you should have started the discussion much earlier. Discussion Forum contributions have to be submitted online through the Laulima discussion tool accessible by clicking on "Forum Diskusi" in the Laulima menu. Discussion Forum contributions are graded. If you post something usually you get full points (10 max) unless your posting is very poor, much too short, or sloppy. In that case points may be deducted. Unlike homework assignments, Discussion Forum contributions are not corrected. Students are also welcome to use the Discussion Forum to engage in discussions (in English or Indonesian) with fellow classmates.

Missed Assignments or Tests

Missed an assignment or test? Want to make a late posting? Unfortunately this is not possible. Everything needs to be in on time. No exceptions. Students are allowed, however, to miss up to two tests, homework assignments, and discussion forum contributions without any penalty. That is two each! Didn't miss any? Even better: you will get extra credits.

Assignment List

Here is a summary of the due dates of all required tests (ujian), homework assignments (PR), web audio utility assignments (WAU), and discussion forum assignments (Forum Diskusi). Note that all assignments are due on Wednesdays.
