Before we proceed any further, you will need to configure your terminal shell environment to ensure proper functionality for all commands you will be using. You will need to copy a file into your own account, then restart your session with UHUNIX.

Don't be discouraged by what you are doing at this point. These commands will make more sense as the simulation progresses.

Starting with the terminal window:

1. At the prompt, type the following command:
   
   (The ~ is a tilde, it is the key next to the #1, press Shift+`)
   
   
2. Press Enter to execute the command.
   
   
3. Verify the copy by executing the following command:
   
   
   
4. You should see the file .cshrc listed in your account.
