This tag is the anchor tag, which allows you to create links. You will use the href attribute to define the URL to link to. The text between the open and close anchor tags are what will become the hyperlink, or the text that people can click on to go to the URL you specified. There are two types of hyperlinks that you can have; relative and absolute. An absolute hyperlink is defined by specifying the exact URL of the resource that you want to link to. Relative hyperlinks are used to link your Web page to other Web pages usually within your Web site. This type of hyperlink is generally a file path that your browser will follow.
