Notices

Daily Down Time: Laulima will be unavailable daily from 3:00am-4:00am HST for server backup and maintenance.

Auto Log-Off: Laulima automatically logs off if no activity is detected for two hours. A warning message will appear prior to log-off. Laulima does not detect typing within a single message or document unless it is saved or refreshed.

Laulima: Technical Requirements

Additional Laulima downtime Sunday 05/26/24 from 6am-10am HST. In an effort to have a safe computing environment for all users of our services, ITS performs monthly software updates for system patches and updates, which will require additional downtime. (05/02/24)

Publishing grades. Instructors can use Laulima's Gradebook Classic tool to publish final grades to Banner. Please be sure to setup the course grade options (either full letter or +/- grades) correctly before publishing the final grades. If that option is not set up correctly, the grade upload will fail. It is also recommended to check the results via the Final Grading link in MyUH to confirm your grades uploaded successfully.

Failing and Incomplete grades. Failing and Incomplete grades cannot be entered via Laulima and should be input via MyUH. When entering final grades for the semester, all failing grades and some incomplete grades require a Last Attend Date entry. If the Last Attend Date is not entered when required, no grades will be saved. For more information, please refer to the tutorial on this.

In response to a request from CCAO, we will start auto-publishing (making sites visible and accessible to students) Summer 2024 courses on May 15, 2024 at 3:00pm HST. Note that instructors can publish or unpublish courses manually at any time. Spring 2024 courses will be unpublished closer to the start of the Fall 2024 semester. (05/02/24)

Spring 2024 courses have been published (visible and accessible to students). Note that instructors can publish or unpublish courses manually at any time. (01/03/24 @3:00pm HST)

Note that the Forums tool has been renamed to Discussions. However, instructors/maintainers can change the name of tools at any time.

Missing a course? If you do not see your Spring 2024 course listed in the tab cluster near the top of the page, check if it is listed in the "Sites" drawer. To put sites into the tab cluster on the top, click the star next to the title in the Sites drawer. Note that instructors can also manually publish and unpublish courses, so you may not see all of the courses you are associated with (or you may see more if an instructor re-published an older site). If it is not there, please fill out a "Site Request" form and provide detailed information about the course you are looking for. During very busy registration times courses may take a while to show up in your account.
