Daily Down Time: Laulima will be unavailable daily from 3:00am-4:00am HST for server backup and maintenance.

Auto Log-Off: Laulima automatically logs off if no activity is detected for two hours. A warning message will appear prior to log-off. Laulima does not detect typing within a single message or document unless it is saved or refreshed.

End-of-Life Notice for Laulima Learning Management System

Laulima is reaching its permanent end-of-life. Lamakū (D2L Brightspace) is now the official platform for all University of Hawaiʻi instructional activities.

Key Deadlines & Actions

  • Migration Deadline (July 31, 2026): This is the final date to request ITS support for migrating course content (academic, non-credit, or non-academic) to Lamakū.

    • Note: Student data will not be migrated.

  • Archiving: If you do not need to migrate content but wish to save it, please export materials to your computer or Google Drive. Contact your UH System and/or campus-specific instructional designers. for assistance.
  • Final Access (December 2030): This is the absolute final date to log into Laulima.

Additional Laulima downtime, Sunday 05/24/26 from 6am-11am HST. In an effort to have a safe computing environment for all users of our services, ITS performs monthly software updates for system patches and updates, which will require additional downtime. Apologies for any inconvenience. (05/06/26)
